Mapei 4-to-1 Mud Bed Mix is a premium, preblended mixture of finely graded sand and Portland cement designed for thick-bed mortar installations. This versatile mix is ideal for flattening and leveling existing substrates before installing tile or stone, ensuring a strong and stable foundation for your project. Perfect for both residential and commercial applications, 4 to 1 delivers consistent performance in dry and wet areas.

Whether you’re floating a shower base or creating a bonded or detached mortar bed, this mix offers flexibility and reliability. For enhanced strength and reduced porosity, mix with MAPEI’s Planicrete® AC latex admixture.

  • Preblended sand and Portland cement for consistent results
  • Screed and level from 3/8" to 3" (10 mm to 7.5 cm) thickness
  • Ideal for floating shower bases and mortar bed installations
  • Can be directly bonded or used as a detached floating bed over a cleavage or waterproofing membrane
  • Suitable for residential and commercial applications in dry and wet areas
